Elisabeth Fink
I have been practicing as a Registered Classical Homeopath in Christchurch since 1985. After working for 2 years in the Nursing profession in Germany, I left my home country to go on a travel adventure across Asia to Australia and New Zealand. I fell in love with the South Island straight away, but it was not until 10 years later that I immigrated and started a Homeopathy practice. A few years later I met my "Kiwi" partner David and 2 lovely stepdaughters.
I began studying Homeopathy in Australia while working part time as an Intensive Care Nurse in a Private Hospital. What inspired me about Homeopathy was that it offered the possibility of true healing: a process where over time the whole person is improving mentally, emotionally and physically. The medical model I had been working with offered very little promise of cure in chronic diseases: the expectation was that chronic illnesses get worse and worse as we get older and have to be managed with either drugs or surgery.
I still appreciate the amazing technology that Orthodox Medical Science has to offer and would recommend it as first choice in many situations. What I also hope and strive for is the future possibility of every person in our society becoming aware of the healing power they have within themselves and that Homeopathy can help them tap into that source.
After so many years in my own practice I am pleased to be working in a team where we can support each other with difficult cases, and also share the joy and excitement of our successes.
